MHF received the 2009 CSX Transportation Chemical Safety Excellence Award.
MHF Services employs comprehensive safety and health programs to ensure that the projects we perform are completed in full compliance and without incident. Should an incident occur, our emergency notification and contingency response plans resolve it quickly and effectively. Any incidents are investigated and lessons learned are developed. In addition, averted incidents are recorded and the data is used to strengthen our preventative measures.
MHF has historically maintained an exemplary safety record. Our three-year trailing factors include ZERO Lost Work Days, OSHA Citations, NOVs or Fatalities. Our OSHA Recordable Rates and EMRs are well below national statistics based on industry NAICS code and company size.
MHF also protects our employees and the general public by means of our Hazardous Material Transportation Security Plan. Our plan meets all applicable federal and international transportation security regulations—including the 24/7 availability of key MHF personnel in the event of an accident or incident. MHF also develops project-specific transportation plans for sensitive or high-profile shipments.
Our ongoing commitment to safety is reflected in awards and recognition from our clients, such as receiving the CSX Transportation Chemical Safety Excellence award in both 2008 and 2009. MHF also has been honored numerous times throughout our history by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers—dating back to a 2004 Certificate of Appreciation for 1,000 railcars shipped safely and 100,000 man hours without lost time at the Shattuck Chemical Superfund Site.
